Ein Tourismus-Satellitenkonto für Wien. Ökonomische Zusammenhänge, Methoden und Hauptergebnisse 2002

Abstract

Der Tourismus spielt in der Wiener Volkswirtschaft eine bedeutende Rolle: Gemäß dem von Statistik Austria und WIFO entwickelten regionalen Tourismus-Satellitenkonto für Wien erreichten die Gesamtausgaben für Urlaubs- und Geschäftsreisen, Verwandten- und Bekanntenbesuche sowie Aufenthalte in Wochenendhäusern bzw. Zweitwohnungen 2002 rund 3,05 Mrd. €. Davon entfielen 53% auf ausländische Besucher, 42% auf inländische Reisende und 5% auf die Ausgaben der Inländer in Wochenendhäusern oder Zweitwohnungen. Die direkten Wertschöpfungseffekte des Tourismus betrugen etwa 1,12 Mrd. €; rein rechnerisch entsprach dies einem Anteil am Wiener Bruttoregionalprodukt von 1,9%. Der direkte und indirekte Wertschöpfungsanteil des Tourismus betrug in Wien 5,8%.
