Gesamtwirtschaftliche Effekte der Siedlungswasserwirtschaft im Zeitraum 1993-2001

Abstract

Im Zeitraum 1993 bis 2001 wurden entsprechend dem Umweltförderungsgesetz im Rahmen der kommunalen Siedlungswasserwirtschaft über 10.000 Projekte mit einem Fördervolumen von über 3 Mrd. € unterstützt. Das WIFO hat in Kooperation mit der Universität Graz die gesamtwirtschaftlichen Auswirkungen der damit ausgelösten Investitionen sowie der Betriebskosten in der kommunalen Siedlungswasserwirtschaft in der Periode 1993 bis 2001 mit einem allgemeinen Gleichgewichtsmodell analysiert. Die Untersuchung zeigt, wie Beschäftigung, Wertschöpfung, Preisniveau, Außenwirtschaft sowie die öffentlichen Haushalte (mit einem Fokus auf direkten und indirekten Steuern) durch den Ausbau der wasserwirtschaftlichen Infrastruktur in jedem der betrachteten Jahre beeinflusst wurden.
