Die Versicherungswirtschaft in der Volkswirtschaftlichen Gesamtrechnung nach ESVG 1995

Abstract

Die private Versicherungswirtschaft ist mit 1,6% der gesamtwirtschaftlichen Wertschöpfung ein vergleichsweise kleiner Wirtschaftsbereich. Sie hat aber wegen der hohen Veranlagungsvolumina in der Finanzierungsrechnung besonders große Bedeutung und wird auch in der Klassifikation der Wirtschaftssektoren (NACE) gemeinsam mit den Pensionskassen von Eurostat als eine eigene Zweistellergruppe (NACE 66) geführt. Die zeitlichen Vorgaben von Eurostat erfordern eine Publikation der VGR-Quartalswerte innerhalb von 90 Tagen nach Quartalsende. Da für die Versicherungswirtschaft unterjährige Daten fehlen, muss der Bruttoproduktionswert für die laufende Berichterstattung mit Hilfe eines Prognosemodells ermittelt werden. Überwiegend auf erhobenen Daten beruhende Werte können erst mit einer Verzögerung von zwei Quartalen publiziert werden. Aus diesem Grund erfolgen nach der ersten Veröffentlichung (90 Tage nach Ablauf eines Quartals) Revisionen, die die tatsächliche Entwicklung der Prämieneinnahmen und Leistungen berücksichtigen. Weitere Revisionen der vierteljährlichen Bereichsdaten für die Versicherungswirtschaft werden im Gleichklang mit Änderungen der Jahreswerte durch Statistik Austria durchgeführt.
