Prognose für 2017 und 2018: Höchstes Wirtschaftswachstum seit sechs Jahren

Abstract

Nach einer Beschleunigung des Wirtschaftswachstums im 1. Halbjahr 2017 deuten die Unternehmensumfragen vorerst auf keine weitere Verstärkung des Aufschwunges in Österreich hin. Das BIP wird 2017 mit +2,8% die höchste Steigerungsrate seit sechs Jahren erzielen. Trotz der Euro-Aufwertung und der leichten Abschwächung der Dynamik in Drittländern wird sich die Wirtschaft im Euro-Raum aufgrund der nach wie vor lockeren Geldpolitik der EZB und einer nicht bremsenden Fiskalpolitik auch 2018 günstig entwickeln. Die heimische Wirtschaft sollte 2018 ebenso stark wachsen wie 2017. Eine Ausweitung der gegenwärtig expansiven Fiskalpolitik wäre daher unter konjunkturellen Gesichtspunkten nicht sinnvoll.
