Prognose für 2012 und 2013: Staatsschuldenkrise erfasst die Realwirtschaft

Abstract

Aufgrund der Staatsschuldenkrise im Euro-Raum sehen sich viele EU-Länder veranlasst, ihre Sparbemühungen deutlich zu verstärken, um die Zinsbelastung ihrer öffentlichen Haushalte nicht noch weiter steigen zu lassen. Dies wird in den kommenden Jahren die Binnennachfrage im Währungsgebiet dämpfen, besonders wenn Maßnahmen zur Konsolidierung der öffentlichen Haushalte nicht wachstumsorientiert und mit Blick auf die Arbeitsmarktentwicklung gesetzt werden. Zusätzlich verliert die Konjunktur außerhalb des Euro-Raumes an Dynamik. In der Folge wird die heimische Wirtschaft 2012 um nur mehr 0,4% expandieren. Von der Erholung der Weltwirtschaft im Jahr 2013 wird auch Österreich profitieren, jedoch bleibt der Anstieg des BIP mit real 1,6% wegen der europaweit restriktiven Fiskalpolitik verhalten.
