Prognose für 2011 und 2012: Aufschwung verstärkt sich, Risiken nehmen zu

Abstract

Der Aufschwung hält in Österreich an. Dank des kräftigen Wachstums der Weltwirtschaft nimmt die Ausfuhr rasch zu. Der Exportaufschwung greift mittlerweile auch auf die Investitionen über: Die Ausrüstungsinvestitionen wachsen im Prognosezeitraum merklich. Die kurzfristigen Konjunkturindikatoren lassen eine Fortsetzung dieser Entwicklung im 1. Halbjahr 2011 erwarten. Danach wird sich die Expansion parallel zur Weltwirtschaft etwas abschwächen; die Verteuerung von Rohstoffen und Energie und die restriktivere Ausrichtung der Wirtschaftspolitik in den Industrie- und Schwellenländern dämpfen das Wachstum. Im weiteren Verlauf dürfte es sich jedoch wieder beschleunigen. Für Österreich erwartet das WIFO 2011 ein Wirtschaftswachstum von 2,5% und 2012 von 2,0%. Das größte Risiko für die Konjunktur liegt derzeit im Anstieg der Rohstoff- und Energiepreise, der sich erheblich auf die Weltwirtschaft auswirken könnte.
