Prognose für 2009 und 2010: Europas Wirtschaft in der Rezession – heimische Wirtschaftspolitik dämpft den Abschwung

Abstract

Ausgehend von den USA hat der Abschwung mittlerweile die gesamte Weltwirtschaft erfasst. Die Finanzkrise verstärkt die Abschwächung der internationalen Konjunktur. Im Euro-Raum ist 2009 mit einer Abnahme der Wirtschaftsleistung um 1,2% zu rechnen. Auch für Österreich ist trotz massiven Gegensteuerns der Fiskalpolitik im Jahr 2009 ein Rückgang des BIP um real 0,5% zu erwarten. Der Wachstumsprognose von 0,9% für das Jahr 2010 liegt die Annahme zugrunde, dass sich die Wirtschaft gegen Ende 2009 langsam zu erholen beginnt.
