Prognose für 2003 und 2004: Schleppende Erholung im Jahr 2003

Abstract

Die österreichische Wirtschaft wuchs 2002 um etwas weniger als 1%. Im Jahr 2003 ist wegen der weltweit gedrückten Stimmung lediglich mit einer zögernden Konjunkturbelebung zu rechnen. Das Wirtschaftswachstum wird in Österreich ebenso wie im Euro-Raum voraussichtlich 1¾% betragen und damit unter dem mittelfristigen Trend bleiben. Die Erwartungen der Unternehmen und Verbraucher hellen sich nur langsam auf. Zu hoch sind noch die Risken auf den internationalen Finanz-, Immobilien- und Energiemärkten. Aufgrund der gedämpften Expansion werden 2003 weder Arbeitslosigkeit noch Budgetdefizit zurückgehen.
