Abstract

The home plant of the BMW Group celebrates 100 years of industry, transformation, and legendary cars. Before BMW cars sported a blue and white logo, appeared in the James Bond franchise, and won at the racetrack, the roots of the company’s industrial innovations were taking root in Munich in 1922, with the founding of their home plant. This book, published in the factory’s jubilee year, looks back on a century of technological advancement to tell the stories of the buildings, the corporate culture, and the thousands of people who made the company an international powerhouse.
