Abstract

In English: The monograph contains an assessment of social and humanitarian potential of Russian modernization, an analysis of long-term development priorities and the characteristics of possible supportive measures from the state. The research consists of eight interdisciplinary areas which make it possible to study the complex problem of socio-humanitarian transformation of Russian society. Both general and specific elements of modernization are analyzed in the survey, especially such issues as cultural, political, social and environmental development of the country. An actual problem of the institutional choice among many political and economic possibilities is considered from the standpoint of the further integration into a global economy. The monograph will be interesting for scholars, statesmen, lecturers and students.
