Directory of Pakistani Economists and Demographers

Abstract

One of the aims and objectives of the Pakistan Society of Development Economists was to promote an active exchange of scholarly contacts among the community of Development Economists in Pakistan. The publication .of the first ever Directory of Pakistani Economists .and Demographers by the Society should go a long way in promoting contacts between members of the economic profession in Pakistan. The entries in the Directory, which have been arranged alphabetically, contain information on the name, date of birth, designation, business address, educational attainment, field of specialization and selected publications. The information provided in the Directory can be helpful in taking a careful look at the state of the economic profession in Pakistan. It .should also be useful to prospective employers of Development Economists in Pakistan.
