Abstract

Este libro es una recopilación de ensayos, ponencias y artículos escritos en los últimos años. Todos aquellos enfocan un mismo problema: el crecimiento de la pobreza en América Latina y las posibles alternativas para enfrentarlo. Se sabe bien que el problema de la pobreza es particularmente grave en América Latina, la potencialidad para enfrentarlo es también importante. Es necesario atacar el problema desde todos los frentes, estabilización, reformas institucionales, programas de compensación social, etc., recogiendo las experiencias más creativas y exitosas, vengan de donde vengan, y movilizando a la sociedad en torno a la meta común: una vida más plena para todos los latinoamericanos.
