Abstract

Este libro contiene nueve ensayos. Cuatro de estos artículos presentan modelos macroeconómicos básicos para determinar la actividad económica y el empleo agregados, así como el nivel general de precios en diferentes circunstancias: economías cerradas o abiertas; un sistema financiero con o sin bancos o con un sector determinado por la oferta, como en la recesión de la COVID-19. Los otros cinco artículos son de carácter empírico: la comparación de distintos métodos de descomposición de la actividad económica en ciclos y tendencias en un grupo de diez países que incluye al Perú; el análisis del manejo de la deuda pública en el Perú y el desarrollo del mercado de bonos soberanos en soles; la presentación de un modelo macroeconométrico para el Perú estimado para los años 2003-2016; el impacto de las migraciones internacionales sobre el mercado de trabajo; y una evaluación del desempeño económico del gobierno mexicano de Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
