Hay una necesidad de conocer APEC y de informarse sobre sus temas, sus logros hasta la fecha y sus metas futuras. Pero gran parte de la información requerida solo está disponible en el idioma de trabajo de APEC –el inglés– y su carácter especializado la hace poco accesible al público en general. Por ello, este libro pretende comunicar de manera sencilla –y en nuestro idioma– información sobre todos los temas que se trabajan en APEC. Con su publicación, la Universidad del Pacífico busca contribuir a que todos los interesados puedan brindar su aporte para que el Perú obtenga el mejor provecho posible de las importantes oportunidades que APEC ofrece para el desarrollo del país y sus diversas regiones.
