Esta recopilación de ensayos busca contribuir a una comprensión de la problemática de la privatización de los servicios públicos, y exponer los esfuerzos de los entes reguladores para balancear las necesidades de los consumidores y los incentivos para que las empresas reguladas realicen las inversiones necesarias para que el servicio sea sostenible en el largo plazo. El estudio presenta experiencias concretas de regulación, el intento frustrado de privatización de Sedapal, un análisis de la experiencia de privatización peruana durante el período 1991-2004, así como un ensayo respecto a la conveniencia de privatizar los servicios públicos.
