Abstract

The monograph Knowledge Management in Modern Organizations reveals the significance of, as well as the relationship between, theory and practice of knowledge management, which represents the basis for business excellence in business enterprises. The book defines a holistic approach to understanding modern organization, organization process functioning, capability and knowledge acquisition as a life-long learning process. The monograph focuses on knowledge and knowledge management from a business excellence point of view. Quality and knowledge management have a significant influence on company performance. In modern organizations, management and leadership methods are of utmost importance. They are both related to management styles and are reflected in corporate social responsibility and performance. Organizational culture and its variability, as well as managers' facing various cultures and their roles in it, strongly influence communication structures and interpersonal relationships in an organization. The above mentioned issues and research results can be beneficial to students as well as to businessmen and economists in their daily operations, in business and private life. The findings will also serve as a basis for further research.
