Panorama de las Pensiones: América Latina y el Caribe

Abstract

La serie bienal de Panorama de las Pensiones de la OCDE comenzó en 2005 para los países de la OCDE y en 2011 se amplió para incluir a los otros países del G-20. Tras el lanzamiento de Panorama de las Pensiones en Asia-Pacífico en 2009, esta nueva publicación regional analiza las pensiones en América Latina y el Caribe; es un producto conjunto del Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo, la Organización para la Cooperación y el Desarrollo Económicos y el Banco Mundial. El objetivo principal de la serie "Panorama de las Pensiones" es presentar un conjunto de indicadores sobre los sistemas pensionales, utilizando una metodología estándar que permita realizar comparaciones. El propósito de estos indicadores no es demostrar la superioridad de alguno de los modelos, sino permitir comparaciones entre los países, teniendo en cuenta las limitaciones descritas a continuación. Como en volúmenes anteriores de la serie, este incluye un capítulo de análisis especial sobre un tema considerado de alta prioridad para la región. En esta edición se analizan la cobertura y adecuación de los sistemas de América Latina.
