Abstract

Este libro ha sido generado a partir de un seminario que bajo el mismo nombre y con auspicio de la Comisión Presidencial Coordinadora de la Política del Ejecutivo en Materia de Derechos Humanos (COPREDEH), desarrollado en la Ciudad de Guatemala en octubre del año 2005, en el marco de las actividades del Programa Nacional INDES-Guatemala. Allí, un conjunto de expertos de la región, de algunas ONGs locales y de la mencionada COPREDEH, más los aportes de colegas del mismo INDES, dieron forma a dicho evento dirigido a profesionales que se desempeñaban en organizaciones dedicadas al trabajo con jóvenes en situaciones de pobreza y exclusión social. Este libro aspira a contribuir al enriquecimiento del debate teórico y político en torno a los complejos lazos de la exclusión y la violencia en relación a los jóvenes, así como también a reflexionar críticamente sobre las diversas formas de intervenciones públicas y los retos que devienen para las políticas.
