Estudio geográfico de la mortalidad en España: Análisis de tendencias temporales en municipios o agregados de municipios

Abstract

El objetivo de este estudio es presentar información relevante sobre la situación y evolución geográfica de la mortalidad en España. Así, para ambos sexos y en las principales causas de muerte, se muestran diversos indicadores de mortalidad (esperanza de vida, riesgo de mortalidad y exceso de mortalidad) en áreas geográficas de reducido tamaño (municipios o agregados de municipios) y en comunidades autónomas. Mediante este enfoque es posible examinar patrones geográficos generales de enfermedad y detectar áreas de riesgo elevado. Este informe puede ayudar a que investigadores, planificadores de la salud y expertos en salud pública identifiquen patrones geográficos de enfermedad que no son evidentes mediante otros tipos de análisis. En resumen, los resultados presentados en este estudio pueden desempeñar un papel crucial en la búsqueda de las causas de las enfermedades, así como en el establecimiento de prioridades y en la formulación de políticas sociales y sanitarias efectivas.
