Movimientos sociales y ciudadanía: reflexiones con ocasión de la visita de Michel Wieviorka

Abstract

En el mes de septiembre de 2013, con ocasión de la visita del sociólogo francés Michel Wieviorka a la Universidad Externado de Colombia, se realizó una jornada de reflexión en torno a uno de sus temas de investigación: la actualidad de los movimientos sociales. Este número de Cuadernos del CIDS presenta un mosaico de posiciones por parte de investigadores en Ciencias Sociales que contribuyen a enriquecer el debate de la vigencia, génesis y validez de los movimientos sociales que surgen en Colombia, comparándolos con el panorama que presentó Michel Wieviorka a partir de sus modelos de análisis de cambio social y de su mirada sobre fenómenos como el de los “indignados”. Estos aportes cobran gran valor en medio de las actuales discusiones sobre la participación social de la ciudadanía en los procesos políticos de Colombia y del mundo.
