Abstract

Esta obra, que recopila una serie de artículos sobre temas comunes al derecho privado y al derecho del medio ambiente, es un homenaje al doctor Fernando Hinestrosa (Rector del Externado entre 1963 y 2012) quien apoyó con generosidad y grandeza estas ramas de la ciencia jurídica. El texto busca propiciar un diálogo académico en un escenario de confluencia de las dos ramas del derecho abordando cuestiones tan diversas e interesantes como el análisis histórico de los antecedentes romanos con respecto a la regulación de las instituciones medioambientales, el estudio de la forma como las instituciones tradicionales del derecho privado se han visto afectadas o transformadas por la función de protección ambiental del derecho, la responsabilidad por daños al medio ambiente, y finaliza con una exposición de algunas experiencias internacionales en la materia.
