Abstract

Los cuatro trabajos que componen este volumen versan sobre los dos temas en los cuales la jurisprudencia de nuestra Corte Constitucional ha sido más innovadora a nivel mundial: los derechos sociales y los límites a la reforma constitucional. Este libro incluye tres trabajos sobre derechos sociales. Uno de ellos ya había sido publicado en castellano en la Revista de Economía Institucional. Sin embargo, aquí se presenta una traducción revisada, corregida y afinada. Los otros dos ensayos sobre derechos sociales habían sido publicados solo en lengua inglesa. En ellos Landau reconstruye críticamente la jurisprudencia de nuestra Corte sobre la materia. La evalúa como un instrumento para la protección de las pretensiones individuales de la clase media y no necesariamente como un mecanismo para la satisfacción de las necesidades básicas de los más pobres.
