Abstract

En el V Congreso de Derecho Constitucional, realizado los días 8 y 9 de mayo de 2006 en la Universidad de Medellín, se debatió el tema de la Corte Constitucional y la Economía.Tema de interés, si se considera, como lo ha establecido en reiteradas intervenciones la Corte Constitucional, que la propiedad tiene una función social en Colombia y que la noción social del Estado debe imperar sobre los intereses económicos de los asociados. Un aspecto importante que recubre dicha polémica es el tema de los servicios públicos. Esta noción es amplia y comprende la categoría especial de los servicios públicos domiciliarios.Se ha invitado a un selecto grupo de expertos para discutir y analizar en conjunto muchos de los debates que ahora se generan en el país. Se abre con esto entonces el debate sobre las competencias de la Corte Constitucional en materia económica.
