Abstract

Con este primer trabajo, Los principios de legalidad y oportunidad, el Departamento de Derecho Penal y Criminología de la Universidad Externado de Colombia da inicio a una nueva serie, “Estudios sobre el sistema penal acusatorio”. La puesta en marcha de un nuevo sistema procesal penal en Colombia constituye un gran desafío para la dogmática procesal de nuestro país. Como es costumbre, la Universidad Externado de Colombia quiere contribuir al desarrollo doctrinal de la nueva legislación. Para ello, se han seleccionado algunos temas fundamentales para el correcto entendimiento del nuevo sistema penal acusatorio en general y de algunas instituciones procesales en especial; estos temas se han asignado a reconocidos juristas de nuestra Casa de Estudios para su investigación y desarrollo.
