Abstract

Esta nueva edición de la Introducción al derecho penal conserva las directrices de las anteriores, es decir, se trata de una obra sencilla, que pretende ser clara, y que se ocupa de los temas centrales del derecho penal, concretamente, sobre todo, de los principios que lo rigen. El libro ha sido actualizado con legislación, doctrina y jurisprudencia y, especialmente, ha incorporado lo pertinente de las nuevas reformas constitucional y procesal penal, que ya tienen vigor en Colombia. Como se afirma en la Presentación, se insiste en "El pelele" para que quede claro que el texto dirige su atención, ante todo, a quien infringe la ley penal. Quizás por ello "abre" con los problemas del mundo actual, en cuyo centro se encuentra el hombre, y "cierra" con algunas de las numerosísimas teorías que han querido explicar el delito, es decir, la conducta del hombre.
