Abstract

Lecciones de derecho penal. Parte general sistematiza diversos estudios teóricos, elaborados por profesores del Departamento de Derecho Penal y Criminología de la Universidad Externado de Colombia que con total autonomía conceptual abordan el análisis sintético de los tópicos fundamentales de dicha área del conocimiento. La elaboración de la presente obra fue promovida por el Departamento de Derecho Penal y Criminología de la Universidad Externado de Colombia, con la finalidad esencial de poner a disposición de los lectores -con particular orientación a los estudiantes de la Facultad de Derecho de esta Alma Mater- un texto de consulta básica, pero con profundidad y rigor científico, que los dote de las herramientas mínimas para el aprendizaje de los principales desarrollos que se han dado en esta materia, desde los enfoques dogmático, legal y jurisprudencial. Por tal motivo, esta obra constituye instrumento ineludible para el desempeño de estudiantes, funcionarios judiciales, abogados litigantes y, en general, los estudiosos del tema.
