Abstract

This comprehensive volume comprises articles on the main aspects of Belgian social-economic history. Various topics are discussed within the volume to give a global picture of the Belgian economy since 1870: the Belgian economy in the long run, demography, macroeconomic studies with respect to the different economic sectors, technological innovation, public policy and standards of living.
