75 años de la sede subregional de la CEPAL en México: historia, logros y desafíos

Abstract

El 16 de junio de 1951 se aprobó la creación de la sede subregional de la Comisión para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL) en México. En este documento se presenta un breve recuento de la creación, la transformación, el pensamiento y las actividades de esta sede subregional durante sus primeros 75 años de historia. Conocer los orígenes y los procesos de transformación de una institución ayuda a comprender su identidad y propósito. Revisar su pensamiento y estrategias ofrece lecciones útiles para enfrentar los desafíos presentes y futuros. Estamos celebrando la historia de una institución, pero también la trayectoria de quienes han contribuido a construirla día a día. En este documento se recogen memorias, testimonios y reflexiones que reafirman que la CEPAL es una institución en red con múltiples comunidades de funcionarios públicos nacionales e internacionales profundamente comprometidos con el desarrollo de América Latina y el Caribe.
