Abstract

En este documento se presenta la experiencia de los países de la UNASUR en la implementación de los programas de transferencias de ingresos destinados a las familias que viven en condiciones de extrema pobreza, pobreza y vulnerabilidad. El documento se enfoca en las transferencias de ingresos, considerando la preeminencia que han alcanzado en el reciente debate sobre protección social y los aprendizajes que han generado. Si bien con este análisis no se pretende abarcar la gran variedad de acciones contra la pobreza que se han tomado en todos los países de la UNASUR, se espera poder contribuir a difundir el conocimiento sobre la asistencia social y así fomentar el diálogo y la cooperación respecto de políticas públicas destinadas a crear mayor bienestar para toda la población de esta región.
