Abstract

Este Panorama Económico y Social de la Comunidad de Estados Latinoamericanos y Caribeños es una contribución de la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL) a la segunda Cumbre de Jefes de Estado y de Gobierno de la Comunidad de Estados de Latinoamericanos y el Caribeños (CELAC), que se realizará en La Habana en enero de 2014. El presente documento se basa en extractos de algunos de los principales informes anuales publicados por la CEPAL durante 2013: Anuario Estadístico de América Latina y el Caribe 2012 (LC/G.2554-P), Observatorio Demográ co 2012 (LC/G.2569-P), Estudio Económico de América Latina y el Caribe 2013 (LC/G.2574-P), “Balance Preliminar de las Economías de América Latina y el Caribe 2013. Documento informativo”, La Inversión Extranjera Directa en América Latina y el Caribe 2012 (LC/G.2571-P) y “Panorama Social de América Latina 2013. Documento informativo”, además del Observatorio de Igualdad de Género de América Latina y el Caribe. Informe Anual 2012 (LC/G.2561/Rev.1).
