Abstract

El objetivo del documento Las TIC para el crecimiento y la igualdad: renovando las estrategias de la sociedad de la información es presentar el potencial que tienen las TIC y proponer los lineamientos de políticas que deben considerar las estrategias de desarrollo de los países de América Latina y el Caribe. El eje del documento son las políticas públicas para la sociedad de la información,respecto de las que se propone un modelo integral que considera, entre sus principales dimensiones, la transversalidad en los ámbitos económico y social, la complementariedad con los activos críticos para asegurar la apropiación de los avances tecnológicos y los impactos en la productividad y la inclusión social y, por último, la integración a las redes de producción e innovación internacional.
