Abstract

Expone las principales caracteristicas geograficas y las condiciones socioeconomicas de los habitantes de las cuencas altas ubicadas en la zona andina, en Centroamerica y en el Caribe. Analiza los problemas que presenta el aprovechamiento y manejo de sus recursos y las diversas alternativas de solucion actualmente aplicadas por diferentes paises de la region.
