Abstract

En los entramados de la globalización no es fácil conciliar universalismo e identidad, ética compartida y afirmación de la diferencia. Múltiples lógicas y demandas -étnicas, de género, de generación, culturales- se tensan entre sí, y las disimetrías entre el acceso a bienes simbólicos y las privaciones del bienestar abren brechas de legitimidad que la política no logra colmar. La cohesión social -definida como la dialéctica entre los mecanismos instituidos de inclusión/exclusión sociales y las percepciones y conductas de los individuos frente a la sociedad- da para mucho. Apostando contra la fragmentación social y el refugio comunitario particularista, y por la libertad y autonomía de las personas y la necesidad de valores compartidos, este libro aborda sin tapujos algunas dimensiones contemporáneas del sentido de pertenencia: ¿;cómo éste se construye y se recrea?, ¿;cómo afecta a múltiples actores y ámbitos sociales?, ¿;cómo los renovados ritmos de modernización y globalización impactan en los referentes de pertenencia? El mosaico de perspectivas abarca desde el feminismo hasta las brechas entre generaciones, el posliberalismo, la tecnosociabilidad, el descentramiento cultural, el postrabajo, la oposición entre diversas reivindicaciones, el nuevo apogeo de la individuación y el retorno de la vocación universalista.
