Abstract

En esta 17.ª edición del LEO, Financiando el desarrollo sostenible, se examinan y analizan varias fuentes de financiamiento en un contexto de espacio fiscal limitado, explicando las opciones existentes para un mejor financiamiento de las agendas de desarrollo a escala nacional, regional e internacional. Además, el documento ofrece recomendaciones en materia de políticas para que los gobiernos optimicen la recaudación de impuestos, el gasto fiscal y la gestión de la deuda pública. Se resalta el papel estratégico del sector privado y la forma en que un mayor desarrollo de los mercados financieros podría canalizar una mayor inversión privada hacia los objetivos de desarrollo. Por último, el informe subraya la necesidad de reforzar las alianzas internacionales para acelerar la movilización de recursos exteriores hacia el desarrollo sostenible de la región.
