Abstract

En este libro, coeditado por la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL) y la Agencia de Cooperación Internacional del Japón (JICA), se plasman experiencias y reflexiones sobre la labor de asistencia técnica y cooperación internacional que dicha agencia, en conjunto con empresas e instituciones del sector público y privado del Paraguay, ha realizado en las últimas décadas en ese país y que ha contribuido a lograr importantes avances en su desarrollo. La CEPAL sitúa la experiencia de la JICA en el Paraguay en el contexto latinoamericano, para incorporarla en el debate regional sobre estrategias de desarrollo inclusivo y sostenible en el largo plazo. El estudio de caso presentado en este volumen proporciona respuestas a una interrogante central que la CEPAL viene planteando en diversos foros internacionales: cómo promover el cambio estructural para la igualdad en América Latina y el Caribe.
