O Investimento Estrangeiro Direto na América Latina e no Caribe, 2023. Resumo executivo

Abstract

Ante uma globalização em processo de reconfiguração e um panorama mundial de entradas de investimento estrangeiro direto (IED) heterogêneo e com quedas nos principais receptores mundiais, em 2022 as entradas de IED na América Latina e no Caribe cresceram pelo segundo ano consecutivo (55,2%) e totalizaram 224,579 bilhões de dólares, o maior valor desde que começou o registro. O primeiro capítulo deste relatório oferece um panorama da evolução mundial e regional do IED e propõe recomendações para que estes investimentos contribuam aos processos de desenvolvimento produtivo dos países da região. O segundo capítulo analisa os investimentos no setor energético, fundamentais para explicar a evolução recente do IED mundial e regional, bem como o papel deste tipo de investimento nas energias não renováveis e os desafios para a transição energética. O terceiro capítulo analisa o IED nas energias renováveis e sugere estratégias para impulsionar a transição energética na região.
