Abstract

Este informe anual de la CEPAL examina la evolución mundial y regional de la Inversión Extranjera Directa (IED) y plantea recomendaciones para que estos flujos contribuyan a los procesos de desarrollo productivo de la región. En el primer capítulo de la publicación se analizan, entre otras cosas, las tendencias observadas en un contexto de crisis internacional generada por la pandemia de COVID-19, se detallan los montos de IED recibidos por cada país en 2020 y se hace una proyección regional para 2021. En el segundo capítulo se brinda un panorama histórico y actual de las inversiones de China en América Latina y el Caribe, y se sitúan esas inversiones en el contexto de la estrategia de desarrollo del país asiático, mientras que en el tercer capítulo se da cuenta de las estrategias de inversión en la era digital, tanto a nivel global como en la región latinoamericana y caribeña.
