Abstract

Además de examinar la evolución mundial de los flujos de inversión extranjera directa (IED), la presente edición de La Inversión Extranjera Directa en América Latina y el Caribe detalla los montos recibidos por los países latinoamericanos y caribeños en 2014 y hace una proyección regional para 2015. El capítulo II está especialmente centrado en el estado actual de los flujos de IED del Caribe con un análisis país por país las tendencias de corto y mediano plazo de las entradas de IED de la región. También se discute la importancia de las empresas transcaribeñas. Finalmente, en el capítulo III se explora el modo en que las estrategias empresariales contribuyen o dificultan la transición hacia una estructura productiva más amigable con el medio ambiente, desde la óptica particular de la inversión extranjera directa (IED).
