Plan integral de modos no motorizados y espacio público de Montería

Abstract

La ciudad de Montería está marcando el camino de la sostenibilidad en Colombia. En el 2014, fue consagrada a nivel mundial por el World Wildlife Fund como “Ciudad Sostenible del Planeta” por sus buenas prácticas y su compromiso con el medio ambiente. En su Plan Maestro de Cambio Climático, la ciudad plantea la meta de reducir, del 2009 al 2019, en un 20% las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero. El plan integral de transporte no motorizado y espacio público busca acompañar la transición de la ciudad hacia un futuro más sostenible mediante la promoción de los modos no motorizados, contemplando los siguientes objetivos: Agilizar la movilidad en la ciudad; Mejorar la seguridad vial; Reducir la contaminación ambiental; Fomentar estilos de vida saludables. Para ello, la propuesta del plan se estructura a partir de 4 componentes: Infraestructura; Coordinación institucional; Comunicación; Gestión y financiación.
