Abstract

As relações entre a dinâmica populacional e a economia estão no centro das análises sobre o crescimento econômico longo prazo desde as formulações de Malthus. Este livro preenche uma lacuna na área de estudos sobre o mercado de trabalho brasileiro, colocando em evidência a importância de atributos pessoais (sexo, raça e cor), de gerações e ciclos de vida (idade), aspectos essenciais para a determinação da estrutura salarial e da dinâmica de emprego/desemprego no mercado de trabalho.
