Abstract

Research on Low-Carbon Development of Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province stems from the research project "Macroeconomic Strategic Research on China's Low-Carbon Development: A Study on Low-Carbon Development in Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province" assigned by the National Development and Reform Commission and undertaken by the research team from the Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research, Beijing Institute of Technology. Based on an analysis of the existing low-carbon development status of Yichun, the book puts forward the strategic positioning, development goals and implementation pathways for the city's low-carbon transition. It conducts in-depth research on targeted issues including the low-carbon upgrading of local industries, leveraging the ecological strengths of forests, facilitating the shift toward low-carbon lifestyles, and rolling out safeguard policies for low-carbon advancement, before proposing tailored policy recommendations on low-carbon development for forestry-dependent transitional regions represented by Yichun. This publication is suitable for government officials specializing in energy economics and management as well as environmental and climate policymaking, corporate administrators, teachers and students at higher education institutions, researchers from scientific institutes and other relevant practitioners.
