Abstract

"Si bien para abordar y proponer el desarrollo de una ciudad es necesario un punto de vista holístico, la economía de Barranquilla a comienzos del siglo xxi brinda una perspectiva microeconómica. consiguiente, Juan David Barón, Leonardo Bonilla, Laura Cepeda, Luis Armando Galvis y Andrea Otero, investigadores del Centro de Estudios Económicos Regionales (CEER) del Banco de la República, sucursal Cartagena, realizaron estudios sobre distintos aspectos de la otrora llamada Puerta de Oro de Colombia. resultado son seis capítulos enfocados en problemas sociales, urbanos y económicos: pobreza, vivienda, educación, industria, finanzas públicas y el puerto."
