Informe de movilidad social en México 2025: la ruta hacia la inclusión financiera

Abstract

El presente informe, con base en la información de la Encuesta ESRU de Movilidad Social en México 2023 (ESRU-EMOVI 2023), analiza la relación entre la inclusión financiera y la movilidad social en el país. Además, el Módulo de Inclusión Financiera de la encuesta permite, por primera vez, estudiar el papel central de la transmisión intergeneracional de capacidades financieras (hábitos, actitudes y preferencias) y su interacción sistemática con variables sociodemográficas. Los resultados muestran que la inclusión financiera es un medio asociado a la posibilidad de ascender en la escalera de recursos económicos; por ejemplo, se reporta que las personas que se desarrollan en un entorno con inclusión financiera tienen 3.3 veces más probabilidad de alcanzar el grupo económico más alto. Los datos de la ESRU-EMOVI 2023 confirman que una mayor inclusión financiera es una parte esencial del camino que convertirá a México en un país con más oportunidades de movilidad social para su población. Asimismo, corroboran que el uso de los productos financieros por parte de las y los mexicanos de hoy marcará el destino de las generaciones futuras.
