Abstract

¿Es posible seguir hablando de la desigualdad en singular? ¿No sería más exacto hablar de las desigualdades? Raymundo Campos Vázquez desteje, a lo largo de nueve capítulos, las diversas encarnaciones que tiene este problema en México: desde la más obvia de todas, la económica, hasta las de raza y género. También se exploran aquí algunos fenómenos que ocurren bajo el paraguas de las desigualdades: la obesidad, el centralismo, la brecha salarial de género y otras manifestaciones asociadas a una disparidad que parece natural y que limita la igualdad de oportunidades y la movilidad social de los mexicanos.
