Abstract

Por diversos factores, las oportunidades de escolaridad se transmiten de padres a hijos de manera importante. En la medida en que el origen de las personas determine su logro educativo, las posiciones de desventaja limitarán las posibilidades de movilidad educativa.En México, pese a los avances en años de escolaridad en las últimas décadas, la persistencia de las desventajas educativas de una generación a otra es, en general, elevada. El presente documento expone las características regionales de la movilidad educativa, así como algunas implicaciones de las mismas para la política pública.
