Abstract

This paper presents the formulation of higher order diagonally implicit 2-point super class of block extended backward differentiation formula (2DSBEBDF) for solving first order stiff initial value problems. The order of the 2DSBEBDF method is derived and found to be four. The Stability analysis of the method shows that the method is zero-stable and its absolute stability region shows that the method is A-stable within the stiff stability interval -1≤Ï
