Lohnkonvergenz zwischen den neuen und den alten Bundesländern

Abstract

Eine aktuelle Analyse des ZEW deutet darauf hin, dass sich die Löhne nach der Wiedervereinigung für die zahlenmäßig bedeutsame Gruppe der Arbeitnehmer, die im Jahre 1989 in den neuen Bundesländern lebte und die weiterhin in den neuen Bundesländern wohnt und arbeitet, nicht an das entsprechende Niveau in den alten Bundesländern angeglichen haben. Jedoch sind die Löhne von Ost-West Migranten und Ost-West Pendlern sehr wohl zu den Löhnen vergleichbarer Arbeitnehmer in den alten Bundesländern konvergiert.
