Auswirkungen von Bildungsreformen

Abstract

Bildung gilt gemeinhin als einer der wichtigsten Wachstumsfaktoren einer Volkswirtschaft. Eine besser (aus )gebildete Bevölkerung wird mehr Innovationen und damit langfristig produktivere Arbeits- und Produktionsprozesse hervorbringen. In diesem Kontext waren die Bildungsreformen der sechziger Jahre in Westdeutschland ein wesentlicher Schritt in Richtung einer höheren Wachstumsfähigkeit des Landes. Das Bildungsniveau der Westdeutschen sollte grundsätzlich angehoben werden. Individuell betrachtet ist jedoch von besonderer Bedeutung, inwiefern sich die Investition in Bildung für den Einzelnen lohnt oder gelohnt hat und wie sich die Rendite dieser Investition im Zeitablauf verändert hat.
