Gründungsgeschehen 2020 in Deutschland vor dem Hintergrund der Corona-Pandemie

Abstract

Die Corona-Krise hat unterschiedliche, branchenspezifische Effekte beim Gründungsgeschehen in Deutschland ausgelöst. Die Anzahl neuer Unternehmen ist 2020 insgesamt nur leicht gegenüber dem Vorjahr gesunken, und es gibt eindeutige Gewinner und Verlierer der aktuellen Krise: Im Gastgewerbe & Tourismus ist - wenig überraschend - ein deutlicher Einschnitt der Gründungstätigkeit zu verzeichnen (minus 25% gegenüber 2019). In der Chemieindustrie gab es dagegen einen Anstieg um fast 16% und die ohnehin aufstrebende Branche Software & Games ist um 31% Neugründungen gewachsen im Vergleich zu 2019. Auch die Anzahl der Unternehmensgründungen im Versand- und Internethandel stieg 2020 um etwa 25% im Vergleich zum Vorjahr.
