Business Angels und Hightech-Gründungen

Abstract

"Business Angels" spielen in der Frühphase für die Finanzierung von jungen Hightech- Unternehmen eine wichtige Rolle. Sie übernehmen dabei die noch vor wenigen Jahren von Risikokapitalunternehmen ausgefüllte Rolle des wichtigsten Gebers von externem Eigenkapital für neue Hochtechnologieunternehmen. Dies gilt nicht nur in den Vereinigten Staaten, Schweden oder im Vereinigten Königreich. Auch in Deutschland sind Business Angels in der Startphase inzwischen wichtiger als Risikokapitalgesellschaften. Dies ergab eine im Auftrag des Bundesministeriums für Wirtschaft und Technologie (BMWi) durchgeführte Studie des ZEW, bei der im Frühjahr 2007 rund 3.000 Unternehmen aus FuE-und technologieintensiven Wirtschaftszweigen befragt wurden.
